Our decision to use lab grown diamonds is an easy one. We were the first company in Dubai and the Middle East to use lab diamonds in our jewellery, paving the way for a new outlook on jewellery and sustainability. We believe beauty doesn’t have to cost the earth, and lab grown diamonds demonstrate how we can achieve this without displacing land, people, or using unethical human labour.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes, a lab grown diamond is a real diamond. The process for lab diamonds involves replicating the conditions of the earth within a controlled setting. By using lab technology, the process is much quicker and more efficient while still producing the same results.
Can a jeweller detect a lab diamond?
An experienced jeweller or gemologist can still find it extremely hard to detect a lab grown diamond. This is because lab grown diamonds have the exact same ‘chemical, optical and physical properties’ as earth-mined diamonds. There are a few methods to detect differences between the two but not all are 100% accurate.
For example, one way to detect the difference between the two types is by identifying certain inclusions in lab diamonds that are not visible in earth-mined diamonds. These inclusions can be metallic inclusions which are formed as a result of the growing environment of lab diamonds. Additionally, diamonds can be screened using advanced tools which reveal their growth patterns. The varying growth patterns within diamond crystals can help determine whether a diamond is a CVD lab diamond, HPHT lab diamond or an earth-mined diamond.
What is the life expectancy of a lab grown diamond?
The phrase ‘diamonds are forever’ really comes into play here. Diamonds are the hardest material known to man and are extremely durable. Therefore, a diamond is a lifetime investment. There is no difference in durability between a lab grown diamond and an earth-mined one.
Do lab diamonds pass the diamond tester?
Yes. A lab diamond is classed as a real diamond and assessed in the same way as a natural diamond. A lab diamond is evaluated for quality and priced according to the 4Cs (cut, colour, clarity, and carat) in precisely the same way as its natural counterpart.
